What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants like Claude connect to external tools and services. Kachink is an MCP server — once connected, Claude can log and query your transactions on your behalf.
What MCP clients does Kachink support?
Kachink works with Claude.ai and any other MCP-compatible client. Connect by adding https://kachink.app/mcp as a custom server in your client settings.
Is my financial data private?
Yes. Your transactions are stored in a private D1 database on Cloudflare, isolated per user account. Authentication uses Google OAuth. Your data is never shared with third parties.
Does Kachink support multiple currencies?
Yes. Kachink supports any currency with automatic exchange rate conversion via the Frankfurter API. Your first transaction sets your base currency, and everything is converted automatically from that point on.
How do recurring transactions work?
Tell Claude about a monthly subscription or recurring income once. Kachink stores it as a recurring transaction and a daily background job auto-logs it on the correct day each month — no reminders needed.
Can I edit or delete transactions?
Yes. Ask Claude to find a transaction by description and update or delete it. Full create, read, update, and delete operations are supported through natural language — no IDs to remember.
